Columbia BasinSailing Club

Columbia Basin Sailing Club is located in the Tri Cities (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland) and sails from Charbonneau Park on the lake Sacajawea behind Ice Harbor dam. CBSC has hosted some of the most memorable events in the inland Pacific Northwest. Some of these include the SJ 21 Western Nationals, the Sea Spray NA's, the Flying Scot Pacific Districts, and the 3 Meter Worlds. The Desert Regatta, generally held in May each year, is one of the largest multi-class regattas in the Pacific Northwest.

Allan Cunningham...

A wet sheet and a flowing sea, A wind that follows fast, And fills the white and rustling sail, And bends the gallant mast.

Schedule Notices
The tentative schedule for 2020 sailing year is posted on the calendar.

In keeping with the state of Washington's four-phase, county-by-county “Safe Start” reopening plan, Columbia Basin Sailing Club has cancelled its events through the month of September. The CBSC Board will meet about the 3rd week of September to see if circumstances have improved so that racing can take place in October.

Please do stay home and stay healthy, so we can race again soon.

Flying Scot 6oth Anniversary
The Flying Scot sailboat designed by Sandy Douglass celebrates its 60th year on the water. The FSSA Historian, Debbie Cycotte has written an article to honor this event. The Columbia Basin Sailing Club is proud to have FS25 in its fleet.
