SpringFling

Hosted by the Columbia Basin Sailing Club, the Spring Fling is an annual two day event held at Charbonneau Park on the Snake River, 17 miles east of Pasco, Wa. The event is intended to be a social gathering of sailing enthusiasts. All boats are welcome to participate. As many races as possible will be conducted. Race results are not recorded. The spring fling typically occurs in late May or early June.

TypicalSchedule

Friday
Races from mid afternoon until just before sunset.
Overnight camping at Charbonneau Park.

Saturday
Races from mid morning to mid afternoon.
Potluck dinner.
Overnight camping if desired.

LocalAccommodations

Tent and RV camping at Charbonneau Campground. Campsite reservations can be made at the the recreation.gov website (Charbonneau Park).

Things to know before you reserve at Charbonneau Park:

  • Friday and Saturday night only.
  • Check-in time is 2 P.M., no exceptions.
  • Check-out time is 12 P.M.
  • Maximum of 8 people per site.
  • There is room for only 1 RV and 2 tents or 3 tents.
  • Tents must be moved every 2 days.
  • 3 night minimum stay required on holiday weekends.
  • Park Gate is locked nightly from 10 pm - 6 am.
  • The Campground Attendant will open the gate for emergencies.
