DownriverTrophy
Winner of the annual Downriver Race on the Columbia River sailing from Leslie Grove Park to the dock just upstream of the Blue Bridge. The trophy was a gift to the club from Don Brauer, who found it abandoned in his garage in Corona del Mar. The trophy is sterling silver and was originally awarded to the winner of the Newport, Oregon to Mazatlan, Mexico race, that was known to draw 5,000 entries. This trophy is the club's most cherished traveling trophy with a wealth of history.
