Saturday: Conditions were moderate winds (8 to 15knots) but with very strong and sustained gusts, (many between 20 and 25 knots, the strongest gust was 29 knots which lasted for at least 3 minutes). We postponed the start of the first race for an hour and saw a slight moderation in the conditions. We set the line. The multihulls, the Catalina 16, the Taser and the San Juan 21s came out. Dennis Tremble came out in his Flying Scot. We ran one race (course B), and the monohulls called it quits. We brought the RC boat back to the dock. In the afternoon with the wind still as strong and gusty, we ran three more races from shore for anyone who wanted to come out, which was the three Hobies.

Sunday: Conditions were much like Saturday, Sunny with some over cast, temperatures in the mid to upper 70s, with nice wind but still gusty. With all classes on the water the first race got off almost at 09:00. We sent the Multihulls on course B (the long triangle), and the rest of the fleet sailed course D (the shorter triangle). The wind was marginal (strong gusts) for the first race, but started to moderate towards the last of the monohulls finishing. We ran four more races for the fleet, sending the multihulls on the long triangle (course B) and the rest of the fleet on the course E (windward/leeward). The wind was all over the speed scale, from what looked like the start of a drifter to sheets eased and rails down.

The courses and wind had the fleets coming together at the leeward mark, which made for some interesting moments at the mark rounding. The final beat had the classes finishing such that we could turn them around and get another race off without too much delay. The fifth race was over by 12:30.
